The Coaching Cycle--Plan, Teach,  Reflect

Picture

What is a Coaching Cycle?

As a coach, I am not here to tell you what you are doing wrong or even what you need to improve.
That is your administrator's job, not mine.  Never has been, never will be.

My job, our job, is to look at students and their work to determine how we/you/us can better help them reach the
Iowa Core Standards.
It is not about what is wrong, it is about what is next.
I have tools to offer to guide our work, you have boots on the ground experience.
Together we will both improve to help the children we love.

Coaching for Credit
1 Relicensure credit

In a nutshell, it is an opportunity for you to gain relicensure credit
for the direct, hands on, day in day out work you do  right now in your own classroom!
How much more practical could that be?

Together we will:
1.  Log 15 hours of direct work

2.  Begin our work around a conversation about what you know your students are needing

3.  We will take time to plan the instruction according to the desired outcome(s)

4.  We will teach

5.  We will look at actual student work in relationship to the desired outcome(s)

6.   Reflect on next steps

7.  Repeat if you would like
